This month Nu Instruments attended and sponsored the 2012 National Symposium on Petrology and Geodynamics in Lanzhou (in the Gansu province of China). It is a predominantly domestic conference that is growing in size, a reflection of the continuing interest in the geochemical sciences within China. Lanzhou is well known both for its University and also the Institute of Geology and Geophysics (CAS), one of the key laboratories in China for this subject. Around 800 attendees were present, necessitating multiple parallel sessions. The meeting was held on the Lanzhou University campus and organised by one of our users, Professor Yaoling Niu.
