Sales Manager/Product Sales Leader
The role is to manage a global portfolio of clients and grow the sales funnel to establish a healthy pipeline of prospects and facilitate the growth targets of the business on an annual basis. Nu Instruments has undergone an exciting time of change in the past few months and we are in a very strong position to grow and support the increase in sales which this opportunity represents. We are looking for someone to bring fresh ideas and a proactive approach to sales.
Your goal will be to find new opportunities within established commercial and geographical markets and drive these from enquiry to proposal stage, also looking at added value services such as service contracts, to provide a full sales package to the market. This will build on our current client base, with focus to grow existing business in addition to new client acquisition.
Your experience will also give you extensive tendering knowledge and the ability to negotiate at all levels right up to board level on major capex spend up to £2 million. This will include bringing together and leading bid teams and ensuring deadlines are hit and business is followed up. You will also be responsible for reviewing the marketing strategy and function and making changes to increase the effectiveness and outward focus of the business, including increased brand awareness and raising the company profile on a global scale.
We are seeking an experienced global business developer with demonstrable experience working in major global markets including Far East, EMEA and USA. Ideally this will be in Scientific instruments (Mass Spec would be the ideal) but someone form a science background would also be considered or science related engineering background. A degree in a related subject would be an advantage but is by no means essential as experience is the key to this role. The role will involve about 30% travel.
